The Chevy Camaro may be a fan favorite here in the States, but all over the world, this American muscle car and its famed brethren are celebrated; so much so that other countries have shows dedicated to classic American cars. This last Sunday, Japan held their annual Super American Festival at Fuji Speedway, which celebrates all American vehicles, from hot rods and muscle cars to Harley motorcycles. Check out some of the sights from this year’s event below thanks to a Camaros.net forum member that attended the show.

Held at Fuji Speedway, the annual Super American Festival offers show participants an outlet for drag racing their American vehicles, as well as a car and bike show, swap meet and live performances. If it’s American made, it’s welcome, and from the looks of the photos from the event, very popular.

Camaros.net forum member “W-P Bill”, who owns a ’67 Camaro RS, which he shipped to where he lives in Japan after 20 years in storage and plenty of restoration work, attended the event and posted several pictures for Camaro fans to enjoy on the forum as well as on PhotoBucket. As you can see, the event looks like countless shows and drag races here in the states, just with one major difference- it’s at Japan’s Fuji Speedway with Mt. Fuji looming in the background.

With as much love for American muscle cars and hot rods as we see here in the United States, we’re pleased to see other countries celebrating our favorite vehicles! If you’re a Chevy fan, this show may be one for the 2015 bucket list!
