We love our Chevrolets, but they aren’t always perfect. There have been some amazing Chevrolets that changed the automotive landscape forever, but there have been a few that we wish would get swept under the rug.
After admiring a few Chevys, we got to thinking: What’s the worst Chevrolet ever made? Naturally, we had our opinions but wanted to see what other people had to say. With that in mind, we hopped onto Google and searched, “Worst Chevrolet Ever Made.” Lots of lists popped up, from the top 10 worst General Motors car ever made, all the way to the top 100 worst cars ever made.
After going through a dozen of these lists, we noticed one car that always made the list, sometimes listed as the worst. While it is definitely a car that should be on the list, weren’t sure its the worst Chevrolet ever made. This car is none other than the Chevy Vega.
The Chevrolet Vega was introduced in 1970 and went off the market in 1977. Those seven short years will haunt General Motors and Chevrolet forever though. These cars had tons of rust issues, safety problems, and engine troubles. All around they were a massive fail, with few remaining now.
The Vega was never designed as a high performance car. This was a base line car, with the intention of being low priced with great gas mileage. About the only good thing we see them used for nowadays is drag cars, where a small chassis and big-block can equal impressive speed.
Tell us below what you think is the worst Chevrolet ever made!
