The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is a trade organization that promotes our love for the automotive industry. Every year in Las Vegas, SEMA holds the trade show of all trade shows when it comes to automotive aftermarket performance and equipment. The show isn’t open to the general public, so unless you’re an employee of a qualified company, or a member, the closest you can generally get is the front door.

But Royal Purple is going to hold those doors open for two lucky winners and feature their cars at the show this fall. Royal Purple held the contest last year, and Royal Purple Communications Specialist Marlena Solomon said, “We had so many great entries and such a positive experience with the winners last year that we’re bringing our most popular contest to date back for another year”.

Beginning July 2 and running all month long, Royal Purple is hosting the “Show It Off at SEMA” contest, and two winners will not only be invited to SEMA, but Royal Purple will feature their cars, pay their registration fees and give them an extra badge for a guest of their choice. The winners will also be Royal Purple’s guest of honor at dinner, as well as get some cool Royal Purple swag.

How to Enter the Contest

Beginning on July 2 you have two weeks to submit a picture of your car to the Royal Purple Facebook Fan Page. Make sure it’s a good picture and give some information about your car. But you only have until July 16, because from July 17 through July 24 ten finalists will be determined via online popular vote.

That means that starting on July 17 you need to get your friends and family to go to the Royal Purple Fan Page and vote for your car. Call everyone you know, call the neighbors, have your kids tell their friends, the more people who vote for your car, the better your chances.

When the ten finalists are chosen, the last week of July will have five judges who will vote for the two winners. Two of those judges will include the two winners from last year’s contest: Joe Cherry and Shawn Kaufman. So get your entry posted between July 2 and July 16, and Royal Purple just might be holding those doors open for you and your vehicle.
