The Los Angeles Auto Show opens to the public on Friday and one of the star attractions is the new Chevrolet Camaro convertible. So that young enthusiasts can bring the message home, Chevrolet will be giving away limited edition Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible model cars throughout the show.
Hot Wheels, of El Segundo, CA, created the limited edition model to support the World debut of the Camaro convertible, once killed off during the GM bankruptcy reorganization. while the gloomy months pass until the convertible arrives in Chevrolet showrooms in February 2011, these Hot Wheels can keep your imagination occupied.
“Camaro and Hot Wheels are a natural fit, bringing smiles to the faces of car enthusiasts of all ages,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing (above). “With the real Camaro Convertible making its debut in Los Angeles, Hot Wheels and Chevrolet will let thousands of Southern Californians take home a pocket-sized Camaro.”
Perry went on to explain that availability of the Camaro Convertible will broaden the appeal of this iconic sports car to buyers looking for some open-air fun. To make certain they’re not disappointed, GM engineering has reinforced the structure to provide coupe-like driving dynamics. Unlike some other drop-top versions of respectable coupes, Camaro Convertible retains the exact same chassis settings and performance character of the coupe.
The Los Angeles Auto Show runs from November 19-28 at the LA Convention Center.
