Since introducing its TVS (Twin Vortices Series) superchargers a few years ago, Eaton Performance Products have become a strong player in the very competitive performance aftermarket. However, this is not without precedent, as the company has been a long time competitor in the design and build of limited slip differentials as well.
The TVS product is a Roots-type supercharger that incorporates a number of patented design features allowing for a higher thermal efficiency, yielding the benefits of higher power and improved fuel consumption in a physically smaller and lighter package.
For large displacement engines, the TVS 2300 is the model of choice. Its four-lobe rotors and high-flow ports deliver increased volumetric capacity and enable higher operating speeds. The 160-degree helix angle of the rotors, in combination with the redesigned inlet and outlet ports, improves the product’s air handling efficiency.
Thoroughly engineered in all performance aspects, the TVS’s improved noise and vibration characteristics eliminate additional noise-reduction treatments, complexity and system cost. Regardless of the model, all TVS superchargers have a 2.4 pressure ratio capability and a thermal efficiency over 70 percent.
When it comes to getting that power to the pavement and preventing the dreaded one wheel peel, Eaton is the world’s largest manufacturer of differentials. You know the names – Posi LSD, Detroit Truetrac and Detroit Locker – among others.
Commonly found in competition vehicles on NHRA, IHRA, NMRA and NMCA tracks around the country, Eaton’s innovative traction solutions help others reach their top performance potential.
We are enormously pleased to welcome Eaton Performance Products to the powerTV group of online magazines. Eaton products are sold and serviced by a worldwide group of authorized distributors. For additional product insights, check out the videos on their Products in Motion page.
