Chevy Ink. Some of The Best and The Worst Chevy Tattoos

Show the world! Places to get tattoos are as original as the artwork itself. Word of caution, if you are a NASCAR Chevy Fan, beware getting a tat of your favorite driver where it can be seen. Drivers change teams, numbers and sponsors. Photo from www.infieldparking.com

Upon seeing the Somoan tribesmen decorated with tattoos, Joseph Banks, the naturalist and explorer on Captain Cook’s HMS Endeavor wrote in his journal; “I shall now mention the way they mark themselves indelibly, each of them is so marked by their humor or disposition”. This was the first mention of tattoos in modern history.

Bringing the art form back to the old world, tattooing spread throughout Europe and then to the new world. Once an art for only sailors and prostitutes, tattoos have become commonplace in modern times.

For many of us, tattoos are a way to show our colors. Proudly display to the world our most dedicated beliefs. Many of these are glorious works of art, but sadly, some don’t turn out as well.

We found some Chevy ink on the internet that is worthy of mention, and in true end-of-the-year spirit, we are presenting them here for your viewing pleasure.

Choosing a living memorial for that special person or car can be a great way to remember them. Tattooing mother’s and father’s names are ok, ex-girlfriends… maybe not so much. Photo from timesenecal.com

Show your humor and make a statement, but be forewarned: that small tattoo you got when you were young can turn into a billboard when you get older and pack on a few pounds. Photo from zimbio.com

Another potential billboard. “She’s a classy girl though, at least all her tattoos are spelled correctly.” Photo from 67-72chevytrucks.com
