It has been said that it often takes the worst disasters to bring out the best in people. The EF-5 tornado that recently ripped through Joplin, Missouri is easily the worst tornado to hit the U.S. in over 50 years, leaving over 130 dead, hundreds more injured, and millions of dollars in damage to the small Mid West city. But out of this tragedy have emerged stories and pictures that inspire hope as the citizens start to rebuild their devastated city.
Jalopnik came across this picture from the devastated scene, featuring President Obama shaking hands with a man next to a classic Chevy pickup, an American flag waving overhead. In the spirit of keeping things light, we’d like to ask our viewers to come up with an awesome caption for this particular picture.
