When it comes to donks, we know it’s a touchy subject, but there are actually some cool builds out there and we’re not hating on this one.

What you are looking at is a 1971 Chevrolet Caprice Donk, built by In And Out Customs in Charleston, South Carolina, equipped with a turbocharged LS2 that belts out a claimed 1000+ horsepower at the rear wheels. Although we don’t really like the 28-inch Forgiato Pinzette wheels, the rest of this car is pretty awesome. The interior features a dash, gauge cluster, steering wheel, and door panels of a 2013 Z06 Corvette, hence the name “Z06 Donk.” Oddly enough, the front seats are from an Acura TL.

That’s not the only part of the car gives it the “Z06 Donk” name. The engine is an LS2 and has an LS6 intake manifold sitting between the heads. The engine is fully built with an 80-mm turbo, 120-mm throttle body, and Holley 160-pound injectors. The transmission in this donk is an RPM Pro Magnum T56 with a twin-disc carbon fiber clutch leading to a 3-inch chromoly driveshaft that transfers the power to the 9-inch Ford rearend. The Caprice also has 2013 Z06 brakes at all four corners, but with the 28-inch wheels, they look like little factory Honda brakes.

With all of the work put into this donk, it’s really hard not to appreciate it. There are some builds, like the chrome Camaro donk we wrote about last year, that are just straight-up tacky, but this ’71 Caprice is right on the money.
