Edelbrock’s Rev’ved Up 4 Kids carshow and charity gala made it’s 8th annual presentation in as many years. This year’s gala charity dinner was a bit different as it was also the kickoff for Edelbrock’s 75-year Anniversary. What started out as a way to generate funds to help a local schools has turned into something more than even Christi Edelbrock, the founder of the Rev’ved Up for Kids charity event, could begin to imagine. From meager beginnings, Rev’ved Up For Kids Car Show has now become one of the Southwest’s finest shows.
The NMCA West tour returns to the birthplace of drag racing this weekend for the 3rd Annual JE Pistons NMCA West Coast Shootout, presented by Lucas Oil, and we’ll be on-site all weekend to bring you news and results from the track.
Southern California is know for lots of things including; sunshine, beaches, and girls in bikinis. On the weekend of February 22-24 however, we weren’t actually anywhere on a beach, but rather, running to the SoCal coastline in a group of pro-touring musclecars.
As with the rest of their events, the Goodguys 13th Meguairs Del Mar Nationals left jaws dropping and everyone wondering why weekends are only two days long. But we all had to leave some time, and the weekend was over before we knew it. Check out some of the cool rides and scenery inside!
Corvette Racing finished 4th and 5th in the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach, and unofficially shares the top spot in Manufacturer Standings with BMW at 34 points. Looks to be a good start to the season on the heels of a first-place finish at Sebring for the No. 4 car.
The sophomore season of NMCA racing on the West Coast kicks off this weekend with the Lucas Oil NMCA WEST Street Car Nationals at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway in glamorous Bakersfield, California. Five heads-up classes and a full slate of index and open-comp-style categories will be vying for the coveted Wally…
For those of you unaware, Southern California is the mecca for road racing and autocross. As your author has recently moved from the Midwest to SoCal, the best way I can describe it, is an automotive version of Heaven. There are quite a few events you can attend throughout the season.
The Goodguys Spring Nationals played host to the 30th Anniversary season opener and kick-ass hot rods came out in droves! Despite a bit of rough weather on friday, the weekend turned out to be a an exciting display filled with vendors, rods and customs, tire smoking autocross and much more – check it out here!
