Kids, don’t try this at home, or on the farm. Dropping a high-performance small-block 350 into an old John Deere may sound like a good idea but in reality, the tractor will go too fast to get any real work done.
When we first watched this video, we kept waiting for the two bottom plow to dig into the dirt and lift the front wheels of the tractor off the ground.
At first glance, you’d assume that the owner has merely outfitted the factory tractor engine with some exhaust stacks. However, as soon as the engine fires, it’s obvious this is no normal Deere.
After putting the work horse into gear, what we saw instead, was the tractor flying through the field with the plow landing every once in a while to dig up a hunk of the field. We love the horsepower happy, and this farmer, rocker-a-billy gives this term a whole new meaning.
The design of this tractor has the driver sitting so high in the air, combined with the speed that the tractor generates, makes this a true wild ride. We have to give the builder credit though. We’ve never seen a John Deere do a burn out before.
