Put a 1969 Camaro in front of practically anyone, car guy or not, and they’re bound to have the ability to identify it. On the other hand, put the car from the season finale of Big Muscle in front of them, and they may have a difficult time. Check out the unique 1973 Chevelle Laguna Mike Musto got his hands on in Trenton, New Jersey for the last episode of Big Muscle’s first season above.

The 1973 Chevelle was not a popular model. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find very many these days but that hasn’t stopped owner Sean Rich from creating an awe-worthy pro-touring car out of his.

Rich’s Chevelle has everything that you could want in a pro-touring beast, or as he puts it, “If I were to build a car to rob a bank, this is what I would build.”

Under the hood you’ll find a massaged Chevy 350 with World Products Sportsman 2 Heads, a COMP Cam high-lift camshaft, Holley 650cfm carburetor and Jet Hot Coated headers. Backing the engine is a Tremec T56 transmission, which pushes the engine’s 400hp to black 17-inch Cragar Wheels and meaty tires through a modified suspension. Six-piston disc brakes take care of all the braking in the front for the Chevelle, while drum brakes are still maintained in the rear.

Giving the car a more unique look is an added chin spoiler and dovetail rear deck spoiler. Changed from “Daffodil Yellow,” the Chevelle now features a sleek Gun Metal Grey paint scheme that gives it a more timeless look.

It may not be everyone’s idea of a neat car, but that’s what makes it so unique. Unlike a first-gen Camaro or even a 1970 Chevelle, few people can say they have a 1973 Chevelle Laguna and who wants to be like the mainstream these days anyway?
