We found another Youtube video user that has a love for Chevrolets and Legos. legomaniacman combined his two passions to create what he feels is a great representation of an ultra-powerful Big-Block Chevy V8 with a supercharger that is driven by the engine.
If you have any doubt about how dedicated legomaniacman is about his craft, check out the detail. It definitely looks like a Big-Block Chevy from the outside. Hell, it’s even got spark plug wires!
According to our builder, “Has a 4-speed H shift. The transmission is a modified one made by Sariel. I switched the gears to get a larger ratio. Tried to keep it as small as possible. It is the same size as the engine, which isn’t realistic but close as it can get.”
Legomaniacman uses a a 9V train speed regulator to power the engine, which is nice because it is variable speed.
We were amazed at the worksmanship that went into this engine. The detail is true to life and the sound is very similar to the real deal. Most of the comments on this video verify those statements.
There were a couple of comments on this video that are worth reprinting:
- Stonedraiderx31: “i need to put get one of these for a engine swap in my honda! lol”
-
phycoman45611: “put that thing in a civic yo!”
-
hubbgjgbfg1:”aaaaand the first hybrid big block ever created. Well, not exactly hybrid haha.”
There were several other comments asking the builder to create a complete car and put that engine in it. Overall the response was so large that we wouldn’t be surprised to see this engine turned into a kit. Stay tuned and we will let you know if and when it hits the market.
