We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again; rock n’ roll and muscle cars just go together hand-in-hand. Like peas and carrots or peanut butter and ladies, there are just some things that should never separate.

Sean McClelland's '62 Impala SS 409 is simply beautiful. Images and video: Glovers Garage Productions

All Talladega Nights quotes aside, when we caught this clip of a ’62 Impala SS attached with the tune “The Lengths” by The Black Keys handling soundtrack duties, we couldn’t help but watch it more than once. OK, we actually watched it a few times if we’re honest.

The alt/indie rock track helps set the mood, and throughout the video, we are taken on the grand tour of this classic Chevrolet automobile.

The Impala itself, sprayed in Ermine White, isn’t in “concours-restored” condition, but it’s a very, very clean driver. Despite the fact that the car’s owner, Sean McClellan, actually drives it may offend some purists, we at powerTV believe that the owners of these cars don’t drive them enough.

Despite the fact that Sean drives this car, it's still kept meticulously clean. The 100-point concours guys can eat their hearts out.

From the inside to the outside, this 409 SS just exudes classic cool.

The cherry on on top of the cake is the fact that this Utah-based Imp’ SS is a legit 409/409HP example, rocking a 4-speed manual transmission, steering column-mounted tachometer, and a black vinyl interior. We also dig the fact that as much as we like modifications, it’s completely stock right down to its factory hubcaps.

Sean has done an excellent job of maintaining this rare and desirable car. The filmmakers over at Glover’s Garage did just as well of a job capturing the mystique of the Four-Oh-Nine and we look forward to more films from them in the future.

Black vinyl interior, column-mounted tach, four on the floor, and 409 horses under your right foot. What more do you need?
