Video: CPP’s 4th Annual Nova Cruise Features Wall To Wall Novas

Just a shade over four years ago, a group of Nova enthusiasts decided to have a fun run through the community, just to have some fun and cruise their classic cars. The members of SoCal Novas and StevesNovaSite.com combined their love of Novas and social activity, and with Nova wagon owner RK Smith’s help, they organized a 10-mile cruise through the streets of Fullerton and Anaheim.

These enthusiasts were familiar with Classic Performance Products (CPP), having utilized many of the CPP products during restoration of their beloved Novas. The group asked CPP if they would be the final destination on their cruise.

According to CPP records, slightly over 50 Novas made the first run through the cities and to the factory. The next year saw 70 Novas make the trip. As the cruise started to build steam, CPP challenged other Nova owners to join in the fun. As a result of their efforts, CPP was overwhelmed by the massive turnout for the 4th annual Nova Cruise and Factory tour on March 10th, 2012.

Based on the press release from CPP and the turnout for this year’s event, we can hardly wait to see what the 5th Annual Nova cruise brings in 2013.

“Over 110 Novas met up in the early morning hours, before hitting the highway and cruising to our shop. What a sight to behold…four lanes of Novas across the 57 freeway! Participants from all over Orange County, Ventura, San Diego and the Inland Empire joined in on the 10-mile cruise through Brea, Fullerton and Anaheim. Once the caravan arrived at CPP, parking was swift and very organized thanks to some awesome volunteers and CPP employees. Goody bags were handed out and raffle tickets entered into the drawing. Our sponsors kicked in some great stuff with the grand prize being a Total Cost Involved Rear Torque Arm Kit valued at $1799! Tours of our engineering department, machine shop, build department, shipping and showroom went on throughout the morning, giving everyone an inside view of CPP.
