Over the last 10 years, the Transformers franchise has made use of some spectacular vehicles from GM. And with the fourth movie in the series hitting theaters this Friday, the folks behind the successful movies wanted to express just how much GM has meant for the success and appeal of all of the previous Transformers movies and future ones to come. Check out a sneak peak of the fourth Transformers movie Age of Extinction and the massive role that GM played in it in the video above.
Right from the start, GM models have played a major role in all of the Transformers movies, from the very first clunker of a Bumblebee to the sleek pro-touring first-gen Camaro, new Corvette Stingray and Cadillac Escalades that have staring roles in this fourth go-around. Because of that, there is no denying that the Transformers franchise would be significantly different if it weren’t for GM.
But lending their vehicles to the Transformers series isn’t the only thing that GM has done for the Hollywood franchise over the years. As evident especially in the fourth movie, GM has been more than accommodating to producers and cast alike when it comes to shooting chunks of the movies using their facilities.
In the fourth film, producers made use of GM’s wind turbine, museum and even test track. What more could a true GM movie buff want?
Well, besides a souped up Bumblebee of their own, we’re not sure!
Be sure to check out all the GM magic and Hollywood action in Transformers: Age of Extinction in theaters Friday, June 27th.
