The Goodguys Rod and Custom Schedule For 2017

As 2016 draws to a close and snow begins to accumulate, car guys and gals are left with a lot spare time on their hands. However, the Goodguys have released their 2017 event schedule, which gives rod enthusiasts just a few months to prepare for the Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Those of us in the Southwest do not have much to worry about in regard to weather, but it does provide us with the opportunity to make modifications or put the finishing touches on our rides. A trip to the warm desert climate might make for a nice mini vacation away from the snow and ice up north, but there are plenty of opportunities to take part in the fun across the US next year.

Looking through the event schedule, Columbus, Ohio hosts “The Big One” of Goodguys events on July 7-9, 2017. Columbus becomes the center for all things vintage, fast, and or custom for this show.

This event features nostalgia drag races at the renowned National Trail Raceway. For those who enjoy the flawless beauty of classics, muscle cars, customs, and trucks, there will be plenty to behold at the Ohio Expo Center.

These machines will be gleaming pinnacles of perfection as they are competing for various awards. For example, there is an award for “Ford in a Ford;” as many of the classic Fords have gone the way of Darth Vader and joined the dark side by stuffing a bowtie engine under the hood. Beyond the specialty awards, there are the big ones: the Street Rod of Year, Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, and Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist.
