If you’re driving around in a ’73 through ’83 C10, you know how inadequate the windshield wipers can be. Thankfully, Detroit Speed has a remedy for that insufficiency. Voted Best New Product of 2019 in the Electrical category by Goodguys, this is the first-ever aftermarket wiper kit available for the 1973 through 1983 Squarebody C10 platform.

The wiper kit contains a low profile, seven-speed wiper motor with five delay speeds, low speed, and high speed. The rotary switch fits in the factory location, and an adapter plate and wiring harness are included. The laser-cut steel adapter plate mounts the wiper motor to the stock firewall bolt pattern and requires no permanent modifications to the vehicle.

LED Switch Plate (1975-83 only):

Improve the brightness and clarity of the illuminated wiper decal. Dimmable to match factory or aftermarket gauges.

Easier Installation:

The wiper switch and wiring harness plug into a wiper control module located under the dash. The wiper motor connector is already installed on the wiring harness, saving you from having to pin out the wiper motor connector. The wiring harness has also been simplified with a new wiper control module design. The LED switch plate reuses the original wiper switch wires.

Push Button Windshield Washer Function:

The seven-position rotary wiper switch now features a push-button function for a windshield washer option. Once the push button function is released, the wiper blades cycle 3 times just like your current OEM vehicle. The wiper blades then continue to operate at the last switch position. The wiring harness includes a weather pack connector/harness for an inline windshield washer pump.

Modern OE wiper motor design is more compact for a cleaner look on the firewall.
