You’re used to seeing the likes of NASCAR driver Danica Patrick behind the wheel of her No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet on any given weekend during race season, but when it comes to music videos, this may be a first. That’s because in the video rendition for Colt Ford’s latest song “Drivin’ Around Song” Patrick plays a young country beauty ready to be reckless and have some fun. But we won’t completely spoil it for you! Check out the music video above, compliments of SportingNews.com.
In a song dedicated to those individuals who enjoy a good drive when there’s nothing else to do, Colt Ford brings out the small-town folk in all of us with his latest release of “Drivin’ Around Song.”
Debuted on October 2nd, the video was shot in Mooresville, North Carolina, a small town of just over 32,000 people.
Of course, the location adds to the sense of a small-town upbringing where a Saturday night may not mean going out to the club for some fun.
Patrick adds to the story as a beautiful girl with her truck broken down at local Pike’s BP gas station, where behind the service counter you’ll find Patrick’s boyfriend and fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
With time to kill due to unexpected car trouble, Patrick and Ford take to the streets, recruiting a bunch of people for a drive in a Coleman UTV, which Patrick “borrowed” from the repair shop. Of course, when all is said and done, Stenhouse doesn’t know any different when he finds both Patrick and Ford hanging out in the waiting room when their truck is finally fixed.
You may not be a country fan, but this video is well worth checking out. Not only do you get to see Patrick driving something other than her GoDaddy car, you also get to go back to your small-town roots, no matter where you grew up!
