For years, the restomod community has been stuck with a frustrating choice: either run a modern, ultra-high-performance tire for grip and safety, or sacrifice performance for a classic-looking tire with redlines or raised white letters. At SEMA 2025, the Coker Tire booth proves that builders no longer have to compromise. The company has officially unveiled the Pro-Trac Street Pro III, the world’s first redline and raised-white-letter UHP tire, solving a problem that has plagued the hobby for decades.

UHP Meets Classic Style
This isn’t just a new look; it’s a new category of tire. The Pro-Trac Street Pro III is a W-rated radial available in 17- to 20-inch sizes. It features a street-friendly 400 treadwear rating, meaning it will provide excellent grip in the curves without wearing out as fast as a 200-rated autocross tire. It’s a true UHP tire, designed with broad shoulders, rain grooves, and traction grooves for real-world driving.

The Coker Tire Street Pro III Solution
The reason this hasn’t existed before is that mixing the ingredients for two-color sidewalls on a UHP-spec tire was a recipe for separation. Coker Tire developed a new process to fix this, allowing them to create a legitimate, performance-oriented tire with classic styling. It will be available in widths up to 315, perfect for high-horsepower restomods. Launching in the summer of 2026, the tire is aimed at restomods but will also fit modern muscle cars, with 27 of its 30 initial fitments being compatible with OE applications.

A Modern Wheel for a Modern Tire
Coker Tire didn’t stop with the rubber. Their Wheel Vintiques division also debuted the perfect companion: the Magnum 5000. As VP Mark Mooberry put it, “If you took a Magnum 500, that was designed in 1960, and designed in 2025, what would it look like?” The result is a sharp, modern interpretation of the classic Magnum 500, which will be offered in two different offsets and is slated for a late 2026 release.

Bridging the Performance Gap
This SEMA debut is a game-changer. For the first time, builders of 800-horsepower restomods won’t have to bolt on hard, 15-inch bias-ply tires to get the right look, nor will they have to settle for plain blackwalls. Coker Tire has finally bridged the gap, pairing cutting-edge engineering with the timeless style that defines the muscle car era.
