Finally a timing cover that will not let the seal pop out
For more than 50 years racers have ventured to Milodonfor high performance racing components. And now for 2012 they are offering a ton of new products for the average car enthusiast all the way to the die-hard racer.

When we walked into Milodon’s booth at SEMA 2011 we were treated to a literal wall of new products. First of which were the new steel timing covers available for small and big block Chevys. “Finally a timing cover that will not let the seal pop out,” Said Milodon’s Steve Morrison. “The Milodon cover uses heavy gauge steel, a factory quality seal recess and is available in chrome, black or gold.”

They have also offered a new small block Mopar Oil Pump Shaft. Available in high quality bronze or steel, and are coupled with CNC machined and heat treated 4130 chrome moly-shafts. Other new products included:

  • Pontiac 350 and 455 Front Main Caps made from ductile steel.
  • Big Block Mopar Aluminum Pump Cover with remote oil filter.
  • Mopar small block head stud Kits
  • Big Block Mopar Road Race Oil Pan
  • Small Block Chevy Road Race Oil Pan

Milodon offers 160 different oil pans for a variety of applications and plenty of them were on show at SEMA. Steve went on to explain to us why it is so crucial to select the right oil pan, “At 8,000 RPM the outer part of the crank counterweight is rotating at approximately 300 mph. This is why selecting a proper oil pan can result in ‘free’ horsepower. We’ve seen as much as 10-15 horsepower!”
