Formed in 1968, Moroso Performance Products has been a staple in our hobby for almost as long as the venerable big-block Chevy. Like our beloved Rat Motor, Moroso is well-regarded and still very much in demand. That’s because, despite the decades, the company continues to innovate and deliver products that consumers not only want, but need.
Dress You Big-Block With Fabricated Aluminum Valve Covers
There are many obvious advantages to bolting up a pair of fabricated aluminum valve covers. In addition to arguably better looks and better durability, they’re more compatible with aftermarket components, and they handle heat more efficiently. With Moroso’s new P/N 68367 fabricated aluminum valve covers, enthusiasts get all that tech and more.

For starters, Moroso’s valve covers are a tidy three inches tall, which means they can both house Jesel-style rockers and offer ample hood clearance. They’re CNC-machined after welding to ensure air-tight seals, and their .375-inch billet rails are finished with pressed-in steel that prevents damage when the covers are frequently installed and removed.
Speaking of removal, every mounting point features a socket-sized notch, and the billet rails are mated smoothly to the insides of the covers to eliminate trapped oil that might spill when the covers are lifted off. Every one of these black anodized beauties comes with a -12AN breather and a -12AN female oil filler fitting that’s complete with an integrated baffle. Fitment includes factory big-block Chevy heads and aftermarket heads with big-block Chevy bolt patterns.

While You’re At It, Grab A Billet High-Volume Oil Pump
A high-flow oil pump is a natural upgrade for builds that need increased oil flow and better cooling. But there are some downsides, like the potential for cavitation and questionable durability.
Moroso’s new P/N 22172 billet high-volume oil pump has been engineered to address those concerns. Compatible with the company’s 10-inch pans, the pump will clear a 4.75-inch stroke with most steel rods. It features a 6061-T6 billet housing that incorporates a three-times larger mounting boss to prevent breaking. Additionally, the pump’s inlet area has been increased to prevent cavitation, and it features a robust thrust bearing assembly that’s engineered for longevity.
Over 50 years into the game, Moroso continues to deliver upgrades that blend durability, performance, and clean aesthetics. Whether you’re refining a street bruiser or building a serious race engine, these latest offerings reinforce why Moroso remains a trusted name—providing the form builders want and the function high-performance engines demand.
