After experiencing the overcast skies that covered the event all day Friday, as I eagerly stepped outside of my hotel room on Saturday morning, I was hoping to find the sun shining. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The skies were trying desperately to dampen the spirits of all the Chevy enthusiasts that had converged on Carlisle, but many made it point to enjoy the show despite the weather.
Throughout the day, intermittent showers put forth a valiant effort to dissuade show goers from having a good time, but the Chevy faithful are a prideful bunch, and a little off-and-on shower activity didn’t deter the die-hards looking to check out the many cool rides that made it to the show field, and all of the displays at the event.
What the weather did accomplish, was to get enthusiasts to spend some time in the buildings of the event. Here, they were able to check out specialty vehicles, like a Ridler award contender Camaro, an 8,900-mile ’70 Chevelle, and even the Nostalgic Nova group that filled an entire structure. To say there was something for everyone is an understatement.
Carlisle Events has already announced the dates for next year, so we are hoping to see you at the 2019 Chevrolet Nationals the third weekend in June.
