Carlisle GM Nationals To Feature Celebrity-Owned Cadillac

Betty White is a legend in the entertainment world thanks to her numerous iconic roles, especially her stint on the hit sitcom The Golden Girls as Rose Nylund. If you’re a fan of White and celebrity-owned vehicles, you’ll want to check out the Carlisle GM Nationals June 21-22. White’s beloved 1977 Cadillac Seville known as “Parakeet” will be on display during the event.

The Carlisle GM Nationals is going to have a special Cadillac-focused display in 2024. This display will feature the luxury, style, and performance that Cadillac is known for. White’s Seville will be a part of this display in Building Y during the event.

White received Parakeet as a gift from her third husband Allen Ludden. The Cadillac got its Parakeet nickname thanks to its Sea-Mist Green hue and White’s love of birds. A fun fact is that all of White’s vehicles were named after birds.

“The 1977 Cadillac Seville once owned by Betty White always draws attention wherever it goes,” said Stan Sipko, Curator of the AACA Museum, Inc.  “Betty was a pioneer of early television with a career spanning almost seven decades, she was known for her many television appearances acting in sitcoms, sketch comedy, and game shows. That is why her car draws so much attention because everyone relates to her shows that they have watched over the years,” continued Sipko.  “The museum family is proud to help Carlisle Events celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2024.  Over the years we have done a lot together and look forward to being involved with the great people at Carlisle Events for many more years.”

There will be plenty of other celebration themes you can check out during the Carlisle GM Nationals including the Solid Lifter Showroom, Corvettes for Chip, the 3rd Gen Nationals, Nova’s at Carlisle, and several others. The Carlisle GM Nationals open each day at 7:00 AM.
