Ultimate Headers Now Offers LT-Swap Headers For Your Project

Headers are not a new concept in the automotive industry. They have been around since the dawn of the hot rod age, helping enthusiasts try to get more power from their vehicles while pushing the limits of speed.

One company that is continuously pushing the boundaries is Ultimate Headers. They are always looking to improve their products and the methods used. While they do care about adding power to the customer’s car, they also acknowledge that the fit-and-finish is just as important.

You can tell by the image that the Ultimate Headers look right at home on the LT4 in the Roadster Shop chassis. The tight-radius tubes supply a lot of room between the frame of the car.

The latest product out of the Ultimate Headers group is one that is highly specialized. In fact, unless you have a first-gen Chevelle with a Roadster Shop chassis and an LT4, then this set of pipes might not be of any interest. However, that’s not the point of this article. Instead, it’s more about the fit and finish of all their products.

Not too many header companies out there have a patent on its processes or products. There are a few, and Ultimate Headers is one of them with U.S. Patent US D700,554. Using a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) process allows them to optimize the design and materials to be used. This process enables Ultimate Headers to reduce the header weight, while also providing more clamping forces to eliminate dreaded leakage. The result is a header flange that is strong, lightweight, and much more robust than a standard header flange.

Ultimate Headers offers 321-stainless-steel headers for several LS and LT-swap applications, including sets for factory chassis and aftermarket units like Detroit Speed Inc. and the Roadster Shop. All Ultimate Headers’ products are jig fixtured, and TIG-welded for precise quality and control. They also include premium corrosion and heat-resistant ARP (Automotive Racing Products) 12-point, 300-grade stainless steel bolts and washers, and Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Stainless) header gaskets.

If you are looking for coating options, Ultimate Headers has you covered. They offer an as-cast flange with a mill finish, a mirror flange with a satin finish, a mirror flange with a mirror finish, a mirror flange with silver ceramic, and our favorite, the mirror flange with black ceramic on the tubing.

If you’re not sure which header fits your needs, you can take a look at the website. They have specific applications and drawings of each of their products with dimensions. If you’re still uncertain, give Ultimate Headers a call, they would be happy to help you out.
