GC Cooling Introduces Drop-In Radiator And Fan Combo For C10s

New from GC Cooling – the Drop-In Radiator and Fan Combo for C10’s. This lightweight radiator/fan combo features tig-welded aluminum construction that can handle up to 850 HP. See more details below.

Official Release:

GC Cooling entered into the C10 market after the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas when the C10 modified by the company’s marketing manager, Preston Folkestad, placed in the top 10 of the Young Guns Battle of the Builders competition. With the rise of the C10 market becoming extremely popular over the past few years, GC Cooling decided to use their experience building the C10 for SEMA to create a drop-in radiator, fan and shroud combination specifically for these trucks.

The company partnered with FLUIDYNE to create the radiator and fan combo. Together, the two companies created a drop-in cooling system with FLUIDYNE radiators and GC Cooling fans and shrouds. GC Cooling selected FLUIDYNE to custom manufacture the unit to the company’s specifications. Two 14-inch High Performance puller fans are set in the custom shroud, and the whole set weighs in at just 29 pounds. Each combo unit is hand tig-welded in the U.S. to exact specifications. GC fans feature full iron casing, a compact size with an overall depth of 3.5-inches and an 8622 motor with the ability to cool 850 horsepower.

“The market for Chevy C10 trucks has been growing for a while and became really hot the past couple of years, so more people are using their trucks for performance rather than just everyday applications,” said Bob Folkestad, owner of GC Cooling. “These trucks are highly modified and not just for show. With performance use comes a greater need to keep the engine from overheating, so we decided to create the solution to the problem before it can cause serious engine damage for the C10 drivers.”

Units fit directly beside the engine and bolt in with the included brackets. Additional brackets may be necessary for 1980 to 1987 C10 trucks if a heavy duty radiator is not already installed.

Features:

  • Two 14-inch High Performance puller fans
  • Set in a custom fan shroud
  • Weighs in at just 29 pounds
