Have you ever wanted to own a Yenko Camaro? Many f-body enthusiasts have. However, because of their rare status, they are rather expensive if you do happen to find one for sale. This is why some enthusiasts look for something almost as good as an original- a replica or a clone. Coming up in August, a ‘69 Yenko replica will cross the auction block at the Daytime Auction in Monterey, California. This may be your chance to own a Yenko without the incredibly high price.

Owning a real Yenko would be amazing, don’t get me wrong. However, it is not freezable to many of us. The Yenko replica up for bid makes the dream of owning a Yenko a bit more obtainable. The Yenko replica comes complete with an L88 427cui engine, Muncie M21 four-speed, close-ratio transmission and a Hurst shifter. Unfortunately the engine in this clone is not an L72, like was used in the true Yenko, but it does have a Yenko-correct transmission. The 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears is also not Yenko correct but do make for a fun ride. The Camaro is also equipped with Hooker headers, 750 dual-feed pump HP carburetor and camshaft with L88 specs.

While some of the performance upgrades are not quite up to the specs of a Yenko, the looks are reminiscent of this iconic car. In true Yenko fashion, the Camaro is painted in Daytona Yellow. It sports black Yenko stripes and badging over the functional cowl-induction hood. A black interior with standard console compliments the black exterior details. It also has front and rear spoilers, and sits atop American Racing Torque thrust D wheels complete with BF Goodrich tires. The Yenko replica is finished off with a black vinyl top.

If you are looking for a Yenko or a Yenko clone with the same specs as a true Yenko Camaro, this one isn’t going to do the trick. However, if you like the looks of the ‘69 Yenko and don’t need all the performance components that came with a Yenko, this replica may be for you. If you’re interested in bidding on this car, it will cross the auction block on August 18th at 2:30p.m.
