The Lone Star State is home to some of the most passionate and prolific car enthusiasts in the world, and Texas is especially known for its love of Chevrolet. With the 5th generation Camaro now a well-established player in the muscle car market, annual events centered around this awesome automobile are drawing big crowds and plenty of gawkers as well.

Camaro5 has a hefty post chock full of pictures and stories from the latest Texas Camaro meetup, the Texas Camaro Revolution. With hundreds of cars participating, the Texas Camaro Revolution is definitely one event we don’t ever want to miss again.

Everything is bigger in Texas, or so the phrase goes, and the Camaro Revolution certainly drew hundreds of Camaro enthusiasts. The three-day event began at San Antonio Raceway, where 80 Camaros of all vintages and their drivers showed up for a meet-and-greet. 35 or so Camaros tore down the dragstrip. And 30 brave Camaro drivers tackled the autocross because, hey, why not?

The Texas Camaro Revolution then travelled from one car show to the next, with an estimated 90 cars going on a 100-mile cruise through some beautiful Texas backcountry. Imagine driving down the highway as a horde of Camaros passed you by? Even better though, this event raised $2,000 for the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. A great event raising money for a great cause and uniting Texas Camaro owners? We’d call that a Texas-sized success.
