Worlds Fastest 1947 Chevrolet Truck

Making the claim of the worlds fastest 1947 Chevrolet Truck can be a huge claim, but this truck just might have what it takes. You see, this isn’t an ordinary ’47 3100. This one is brought to us by RK Motors, who is an auction company in North Carolina. They get some of the best, rarest, and all around coolest cars in the country and put them up for sale. This ’47 is no exception.

Screen Shot 2014-09-03 at 4.48.33 PMTo start, the truck has a full blown NASCAR engine. That means this motor is pumping out close to 800 horses out of a 358 cubic inch small block. The transmission behind it is an EMCO four speed, that’s NASCAR approved. With the truck only weighing in at 1800 pounds, the claim is this truck can easily reach 200 miles per hour. In fact, the previous owner reached 160 miles per hour at Virginia International Raceway. Impressive, to say the least.

The entire frame is custom built as well, so the only remnants of the stock 3100 is the sheet metal. The truck has a rat rod vibe to it, complete with a spittoon for an air cleaner on top of the fire breathing motor. The custom set of headers flowing out of the engine compartment add a menacing look to the truck, which we are sure are really loud when fired. This truck definitely isn’t for the faint of heart.

On the inside, there’s no frills. A set of sheet metal seats and seat belts is about all you need. A set of Auto Meter gauges compliments the dash, but it’s all business inside. The console is really just a transmission hump, to hide the four speed and drive shaft.

One of the coolest features on the outside is the front splitter, which lets everybody know that this truck means business and isn’t afraid to hit the track.

All this truck can be yours, it’s currently up for sale on eBay along with a ton of pictures. Check it out! You can also check out the listing on RK Motors as well.
