Win This Truck Auction And Help WD-40 Help Others

I don’t know about you guys, but I am a fan of old trucks. I’m a big guy, and I like the roominess and the ability to haul things. Since many of us like hot-rodded haulers, I thought you guys might also enjoy checking out this auction. I found this cool 1951 Chevy 3100 from WD-40 that will benefit a few charities.

Covered in distressed diamond-stitched leather, the bench seat with a matching headliner and door panels has a truly vintage look. The simulated-patina paintwork extends to the interior’s metal surfaces, and black carpeting lines the floor. An MTX sound system controls are hidden inside the ashtray and an amplifier is underneath the seat, where the battery is also housed.

This hot part’s chaser is a team effort that began when WD-40 Brand teamed up with off-road crew chief Trad Ronfeldt of T.R.A.D. — Team Racing And Development. Together, the merging of resources and talent has created a classic, show-stopping hauler that any enthusiast will be happy to own.

The auction will benefit SEMA Cares charities, including Childhelp, and is happening on bringatrailer.com between February 28 and March 7. Here’s your chance to get a cool rig and help others.

The 383 small block features a Holley Sniper EFI. A Frostbite aluminum radiator with an electric fan makes sure the truck keeps its cool. Holley satin-black finned air cleaner housing and valve covers complete the vintage look.

Builder Trad Ronfeldt, a seasoned automotive mechanic, fabricator, welder, and professional off-road crew chief, had an ambitious plan to build this truly custom vehicle from the ground up. The 3100 features a fuel-injected 383 cubic-inch small-block stoker producing more than 500 horsepower. The custom vehicle is sure to draw attention as it is born again in all its former glory. This thing looks as if it is ready for work or cruising.

The truck rolls on six polished Ultra Wheel Modular dually wheels wrapped in 235/65R17 Toyo Open Country C/T tires. The modified front suspension features a Nostalgia Sid’s 4-inch dropped axle kit and ventilated disc brakes with braided stainless-steel lines. The rear features a TCI four-link suspension kit with coilovers.

The truck features a custom-built bed and dually rear with a widened Currie axle. WD-40 wanted to keep a vintage vibe, and to do so, the truck has been “patina-ized” with a custom paintjob. The restored interior offers new upholstery and distressed leather seats.
