Another awesome find on YouTube. This video was uploaded on November 6, 2006, so it has some age on it, however, there are just some videos that are timeless. This is one of them.
The 3rd Gen Camaro starts in the left lane when the green light shines. The Camaro raises it front wheels and the tail drags the asphalt a good 20 feet as the car drifts toward the right line. It appears that the Camaro attempts to mount the four eye Fox body Mustang before continuing down the track and crossing the line at 11.94 after the failed attempt at topping the Mustang.
According to comments on the YouTube video, the Camaro’s cage and suspension work was done by Everything Hotrod in Plantation, Florida. It was actually the first nitrous drag radial car to go 7’s and held the record with a 7.81 @ 181.
