Video: Swedes Really Know How to Have Fun in Their Muscle Cars

We’ve seen some people do some crazy stuff in their old-school muscle cars, but this YouTube video still has us shaking our heads. We’ll warn you now- if you are a person that holds the idea that cars should be pampered or babied, this is probably not the video for you.

Featuring a ‘67 Camaro with a modified 454cui engine, the video captures all the shenanigans of one Swedish automotive enthusiast. The video starts out with the rather pristine looking car, not being pushed to the limit on a drag strip or autocross course, but rather on a dirt track. How did we go from a nice looking built Camaro to unleashing it dirt track? Well the video covers that too.

Want some pure American muscle power bursts? This video has it. How about some passing of fellow drivers in the opposing traffic lane at high rates of speed? Yep, got those too. The video even has some serious donut action captured right on the side of the road.

Where the real fun starts, however, is once the Camaro gets to the dirt track. Now, when we say dirt track, we aren’t talking some professional-grade dirt raceway. We’re talking about what looks to be a tiny wanna-be track in someone’s yard. But, non the less, it is a dirt track and the Camaro takes full advantage of it, sliding around it at full speed, kicking up clouds of debris.

Why anyone would take their rather nice looking first-gen to a dirt track and thoroughly thrash it, we don’t really know. However, if you aren’t worried about the paint job, like the Swedish owner obviously wasn’t, why not? It looks like it could be fun.

For all the shenanigans, check out the video below. Do you think this is an appropriate way to treat a first-year Camaro?
