When Justin Nassey and Team English Racing of Camas, Washington first built this twin-turbo, Chevy pickup, they used what has probably been the most successful piece of advice in the performance craft to date: keep it simple.
Nassey and Team English have done just that. They’ve shown that a radical performance motor running on modern E85 can still make successful use out of a traditional carburetor. Team English proves it, too, with the addition of twin turbos, meth injection, and lots of leg room thanks to 540 cubes.
Not only is this violent dyno run amazing, making us wonder how the hell it stays on the rollers, but achieves it with ease; producing quadruple digit power numbers with no use of an intercooler. Of course, you’ll have to check out the dyno video for yourself. Editor’s note: Notice the four-wheel drive has been disconnected for the dyno pulls.
Though the English boys make this build seem easy, its not to discount the fact that this team comes from a wealth of knowledge. Englishs’ shop is run by three tuners and three engine builders; housed under one roof who can all rely on each other to get the job done right.
We’ve got more proof that this truck can really hustle with all four wheels grabbing at the quick-stuff. Check out some in-car, and rolling shots of this pig in action on the sand. Can somebody say, “rooster tail?”
