We all love the Internet, with its good and despite its bad points, so when this video surfaced, we had to take a closer look into it. The audio doesn’t lie. There is some serious machinery involved here and the poster’s claim of 1003 hp seemed to be valid.
There was very little detail to go on, but the URL on the car’s hood suggests that all this is happening in Norway and a check on that lead to some interesting information, including a gallery for this Z/28 Camaro. As you’ll see in the photos, this is a very serious build.
What may be a GM crate engine appears to be sporting a Procharger F1 blower with 4-inch piping into an air-to-air intercooler. A lot of plumbing has been updated under the hood to make room for the power adder.
Long tube headers are installed along with an H-pipe running 3-inch tubing to a pair of center-mounted resonators at the back. Whoever the owner is, and whatever he’s doing with this Camaro, there’s little doubt that you’re going to hear him coming.
The front K-member is now a tubular unit, with coil-overs installed at all four corners. Sub-frame connectors and a four-link rear suspension with panhard rod are helping to keep the massive tires under control when the time comes.
Check out the video below, but set your headphones to an appropriate level first.
