Video: Mini Tour of Vic Edelbrock’s Garage

It comes as no surprise to us that some of the coolest cars we come across are owned by some of the industry’s leaders in automotive performance parts. The Edelbrock car collection is no different. Check out this YouTube video above for a quick look at some of Vic Edelbrock Jr.’s favorite cars in his “garage.”

Started way back in 1933, Edelbrock is known for their quality performance parts and dedication to the American love affair with cars. In order to get where the company is now, Vic Edelbrock Sr. had to do tons of testing and perfecting to not only get his parts top notch, but also his business and racing career.

One of Edelbrock Jr.’s favorite cars is the iconic ‘32 Ford Dry Lakes Roadster that helped launch Edelbrocks’ success in the performance and racing industry in 1938. Complete with a Ford Flathead engine and pressure pump in the dash for the methanol fuel, this vehicle was used to develop performance heads and intake manifolds for the Ford Flathead engine.

The Roy Brizio- built ‘32 Ford Roadster also made Edelbrock Jr.’s favorites list. This particular car was created for the TLC show “Rides” and features Edelbrock suspension components and Chevy crate engine.

Another favorite is the #27 Kurtis Kraft Midget race car that won Edelbrock Sr. countless victories and was the first Midget to ever use Nitromethane fuel. Known for being the first Ford V8-60 Flathead-equipped Midget to win against the highly successful Offenhauser-powered cars, the #27 car saw greats like Rodger Ward, Billy Vukovich, Perry Grimm and Walt Faulkner behind the wheel.

Vic’s garage would not be complete without the ‘67 “Hot Rod Magazine” Camaro SS test car. This car was the first SS in California and the first Camaro to get exposure in the magazine.

Add that to the Deuce Coupe with Moldex Crankshaft, ‘58 Corvette roadster, Porsche 911 with custom white top and a ‘69 Six Pack Super Bee that Edelbrock Jr. sold back in the mid-70s and bought back in the early 2000s, among others, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a garage. Be sure to check out Edelbrock Jr.’s mini tour of his car collection above.
