On May 16th all the planning and hard work came to an end when the clock officially started on RideTech‘s 48 hour Camaro build. Between May 16 – 18 the team spent the time between 8am – Midnight working on the 1967 Camaro. The team finished the car in 47 hours without any problems. So why do something like this?
Well, the goal of 48hourcamaro.com was not simply to see how fast it could be done, that really serves no purpose in the end. What they did was demonstrated how easy it can be to build a car like this utilizing the quality bolt-on parts from well recognized manufacturers.

One of these recognized manufactures that the team chose was Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. For the new powerplant for this custom build the team chose the 602 horsepower Lingenfelter LS3 engine.
Even more impressive was after the hurried build, the team then drove the Camaro three hours to Nashville, Tennessee, and drove the car at the autocross event at the Goodguys Nashville car show. The Camaro and the 602 horsepower beast would stay at the top of the charts throughout the event.
“The Lingenfelter LS3 package has surpassed every expectation I had for this project. More than 600 horsepower with a warranty…who could ask for more!” said RideTech President Bret Voelkel.
Lingenfelter’s LS3 Camaro package can be purchased direct from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and comes with the company’s 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on the engine assembly, as well as the company’s signature certificate of authenticity.
