First of all, we had to stop and learn what the heck “SxSW” was, it turns out its an annual music and film festival put on in Austin, Texas. So what’s the big deal, right? Well, we’re not entirely sure. But Jessica Murray, the Community Manager for Social Media Club Global, a non-profit organization for social media professionals (there’s such a thing?) sure thought so.
In fact, so thought so highly of the event that the prospect of going was enough for her to permanently etch a 10-inch wide Chevrolet bowtie on her back? Tramp stamp? Hmph! Try billboard!
Part of some bizarre challenge, where ten teams get to drive a white Chevy Traverse to South-by-SouthWest, Jessica happily volunteered to tattoo the company’s iconic logo on her body in a parlor in western Tennessee under candlelight. Why? Oh yeah, there was an electrical storm that knocked out the power.
She blogged, “Thomas was confident with his years of experience it didn’t deter him from continuing with the tattoo and pulling off a sick Chevy logo smack in the middle of my upper back. I can’t wait to rock this to the gym and meet all the Chevrolet fanboys.” All we can reply is “Ugh.”
