From a man’s standpoint, we all need time to get away once and a while. It may be going to the garage to work on a car project or even better having your own man cave in the basement. We can just go there and have a beer, play pool and watch our big screen TV in peace and quite, reflecting on our day.
Well, we found the luckiest guy in the world and he could have the best man cave known to man. The News Tribune reported on a story of Gordon Robinson who built and designed his own 2,300-square-foot man cave. Now for some of us, this is bigger than most of our houses, but for Gordon, his house is a total of over 7,000 square feet. With Gordon’s love for cars, the man cave is furnished with old restored gas pumps, old signage, and neon beer signs.
In addition to the large man cave, Gordon has restored three classic muscle cars, a blue ’41 Willys Pro-Street hot rod, ’65 Pontiac GTO and a ’66 Chevrolet El Camino that are worth over $150,000. So you ask where does he keep all these classic resorted cars? Well that’s what sets this man cave apart for anyone else. Gordon has spent $30,000 on a hydraulic car lift that will lower his cars from the garage floor down into his man cave where they can be admired by all.
Now, Gordon has been married for a long time and gives this man caves credit for the long successful relationship. His wife has the rest of the house including a craft room to keep busy with her own thing while Gordon is down messing with his cars. We bet your man cave just doesn’t seem that cool any more, does it? See the rest of Gordons man cave.
