Building a car is all about personal style- whether you’re building for power, performance, looks or a competitive purpose. No matter what the reason, it’s a noble goal, one which some cars pull off flawlessly. That’s the case with this 1967 Nova built by Hat Creek Customs in Salisbury, North Carolina and owned by Darrell Efird of China Grove. Finished in a custom blended Sunset Pearl Cinnamon, this attention grabbing Chevy is one of the nicest we’ve seen, but it doesn’t stop with the aesthetics. Under that gorgeous paint you’ll find none other than TCI Engineering suspension components and a powerful engine to match. Need we say more?
We first got word of this immaculate second-generation Nova from our friends at TCI Engineering. As a true performance machine under its shiny exterior, the Nova is equipped with TCI’s coil spring front end as well as their 4-link rear. This is attached to an 8.8-inch rearend. But without some substantial power, this setup wouldn’t reach its full potential. So Hat Creek solved that issue with a mighty LS3 under the hood.
As for the other specifications, well, you’re just going to have to wait for our future feature on the car.
What we can tell you, however, is that this is not just an amazing build- it’s much more. In fact, it’s already an award winner, receiving a House of Kolor Prestigious Painters Award for the immaculate Cinnamon paint laid by Hat Creek Customs and securing a spot in the House of Kolor booth at the 2013 SEMA Show. Congratulations goes out to Hat Creek Kustoms for an amazing build and to TCI Engineering for being a part of such an amazing Chevy. Be sure to check back soon as we dive even deeper into what makes this second-gen Nova the amazing piece of automotive artwork it is.
