Another pro-touring build project is off to a good start over at Pro-Touring.com. While the car that is undergoing a performance makeover is cherry as it is, the forum member doing the overhaul is set on upgrading his ride. The performance of the ’68 Camaro is sure to match the extraordinary exterior once this project is done.
The forum member, Max Harvard, has quite the project on his hands. Throughout this project Harvard plans to do upgrades to chassis, rear end, engine, brakes, fuel, transmission and gears. The front clip along with upper and lower control arms will be switched out for a new Speedtech parts. Harvard hasn’t decided what kind of engine he is going to put in the car but wants it to be of the LS variety and push between 550 and 600hp. Many Holley products will be used, including a fuel pump, engine mounts, headers and pan.
Harvard began receiving his performance parts on May 16th. We’re excited to see that this project is not just sitting dormant in the planning stage but actually getting under way. The consensus among Pro-Touring.com members is that the project will be well worth the work. Harvard stated in one of his posts that he will try to keep forum updated on the progress of his performance upgrades. We look forward to seeing the finished product of Harvard’s efforts.
