Our pal Tony Huntimer recently parted ways with his old ’68 Camaro, nicknamed the Brutal Camaro. He’d had it for 17 years and was sorry to see it go, but his latest barn find of another ’68 Camaro has already lifted his spirits and has wet his appetite! This ’68 was a rough shell that, ironically enough, had been sitting for the past 17 years, which is the exact same amount of time that Tony had his previous ’68. It’s almost as if a cosmic force righted the universe when it learned that Tony needed a new Camaro, but we digress.
The car is not without issues. It’s been sitting the entire time without a windsheild, the quarter panels are toast, and it has been torn apart and picked over some. That being said, it has not deterred Tony in the least and he’s determined to make this ’68 Camaro the track car super-star that he was always afraid of doing with his old car.
Tony has a thread going over on Pro-Touring.com and is asking for input on the path he should take on his build. Present ideas include a stroker small block or a crazy LS combination. Personally, we think either option is awesome, and we’ll be planning to follow the build as it progresses!
