True to the company motto, “If you are going to build it, might as well Overkill it,” the Las Cruces, New Mexico company Overkill Racing and Chassis is doing just that to a Chevy C-10 pickup truck.

“Even though these are things that 95% of the people at car shows will never see, it’s that other 5% who will really appreciate the attention to detail put into every corner of this truck,” says the Overkill crew.
The 1964 C-10 is slated to debut at the 2014 SEMA tradeshow in Las Vegas later this year. Currently the future drag truck sports a 588 big block Chevy with a 12-71 Littlefield supercharger on top. The Overkill crew reports that the engine logged 1,687 hp and 1,666 lbs/ft of torque on a Superflow dyno under 2-inches of load.

“Always kind of a surreal feeling seeing months and months of hard work finally start coming together.”
We’ve just pulled the photos of the 4130 chromoly chassis and roll cage to show you what to expect when you roll into Vegas for this year’s SEMA show. The Overkill crew is really proud of the TIG welded cantilever rear suspension and the front struts on bags. They’ve added an aluminum quick change Ford 9-inch rearend with a spool and 410 gears.
The Overkill crew has been pretty steady about posting daily updates to their facebook page so that fans can watch as the “solid as a rock” build is Overkilled. You can catch up with their daily updates by clicking here and liking their fanpage.
