Official Release:

Morrison GT Sport Chassis For 1947-53 Chevy Trucks

Owners of classic 1947-53 Chevrolet pickup trucks can now obtain a contemporary ride, improved handling and exciting performance by simply swapping out their old frame and running gear for a Morrison GT Sport chassis plus a late model powertrain. It is virtually a bolt-in proposition, with little or no fabrication required. The extra-strong chassis has 2″ x 6″ main rails and incorporates body, bumper and running board mounts, plus a core support, front and rear suspension and power rack & pinion steering.

The computer-designed AME Sport I.F.S. incorporates heavy-duty 1-1/8″ diameter control arms, adjustable coil-over shocks, forged steel spindles and an adjustable 1-5/16″ diameter anti-sway bar. A reinforced 9″ rear end housing is fitted with a 4-bar rear suspension, Panhard bar, adjustable coil-overs and an anti-sway bar.

Motor mounts are available for all popular Chevy V-8 engines, including the LS. The chassis can be set up to accommodate any popular automatic or standard shift transmission. Options include brake and clutch pedal mounts, front and rear disc brakes, plus a complete 3rd member and axles.

In addition to the new GT Sport chassis for classic Chevy pickups, Morrison manufactures complete “bolt-in” chassis for 1949-54 and 1955-57 Chevys, 1953-62 Corvette, 1964-72 GM A-body cars and early Camaros. Well over a thousand of them are on the road, providing owners with sports car-like performance and traditional, timeless styling.

Features:

  • Increased rigidity
  • Improves handling
  • Near bolt-in installation
