Mud bogging is generally the domain of trucks and SUV’s with monstrous tires and insane lift kits. However, there are those creative geniuses that decide buck the trend and go full on redneck. Typically a second generation Camaro is beat to death, turned into a racecar or placed strategically on blocks in front of a doublewide with a collection of old toilets used as planters. Taking a Camaro to lows or in this case heights is likely to score Howie (who is the owner of this fine machine according to the YouTube description) some major points in redneck awards. It is hard to determine the powerplant under the hood of this lifted beast, but it is probably safe to assume that is free of an LS-engine.
Most likely the second generation Camaro body was fastened to a lifted Blazer chassis. Without a detailed still photograph or solid background information one can only speculate as to the size of the lift kit and outrageous mud tires on this particular beast. Although the second generation Camaros are typically the butt of mullet related jokes, this one seems to perform its duties as a mud monster with ease; it seems to handle the thick swampy mud with ease and seems to be able to compete the trucks without an issue. Love it or hate it, it is someone’s dream and it takes courage to build something like a mud bog Camaro.
