Ever see a car that made you question your faith not just in the car culture, but in humanity, or even your religion? We’ve seen some awful automotive atrocities before, but rarely is a car so unequivocally bad that it actually makes us want to exit the hobby. A car so disgusting, that we don’t even want to be in any way associated with the person who built it who dares call themselves a car enthusiast.
Maybe we’re being a little dramatic here, but take one look at this former Chevy sedan and just try not to feel sick. But the worst part? This car isn’t even a one-off custom, but rather uses an “award winning” kit. The horror…
The Truth About Car’s Ronnie Schreiber posted this atrocity, and asked his readers to figure out what kind of car this is. We still haven’t figured out what is underneath this Super Stepside pickup kit, which can apparently turn any unassuming 80’s GM sedan into the automotive equivalent of a tsunami. Just awful. All the nitrous tanks and Corvette taillights in the world can’t save this…thing. And what is with the Viper-ish front end?
The list of cars it could be is long, though limited to mostly GM sedans and coupes out of the 1980’s. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but we think the appeal of this pickup kit car mashup is very, very limited. But maybe we’re wrong. Is this kit car as ugly as we think, or are we just being too mean?
