On eBay right now is this super bad ’72 Chevy Vega street and strip machine. Man, this thing screams street racer, its like the Tasmanian Devil on steroids. It is powered by a heavy hitting 408 cubic inch full race small block, and looking at the combination of parts, is far North of about 600hp.
It has Pro1 ported cylinder heads, 15:1 compression ratio, Isky .700″ lift solid roller cam, and the list goes on. This wild Chevy has all the best parts money can buy, Mark Williams axles, TCI powerglide with trans brake, a 9″ Ford rear with 4:56 gears, and all the right components to back it up.
The car has all the safety equipment too, a roll cage, 5 point safety harnesses, and transmission shield as well. It has the original interior still in the car and the owner has most of the original paper work including the Protect-o-Plate.
This little Chevy still wears its original paint with the exception of the 6″ cowl hood that is black.
These 1st Generation Vegas were very popular for V8 transplants, and this one is one of the cleanest we have seen in a while. It is totally street legal and has all the lights and accessories working.
This is not a cut up drag car, it was built to drive on the street and it will pass tech at the drag strip and run 9 seconds on the track just as easy. If your looking for a car that will get your blood pumping this may be the one, it will definitely get you to work on time, that is if you like being the center of attention.
