GM Salutes Past and Present Military Members With Current Discounts

For the last century, Chevrolet and GM have supported all branches of the military and to show their appreciation for each branches’ services over the years, they are once again offering a hefty military discount to all former and active military personnel between now and the end of June. So if you’re a military vet and in the market for a new GM vehicle, this could be the chance for you!

First introduced in 2008, the GM Military Discount Program honors active and retired military members, as well as those who are veterans or in the reserves by giving them the chance to purchase select GM vehicles for below suggested retail values. The discount is available to all service members regardless of their branch, as well as their spouses, and can be combined with many current incentives.

Brands included in this program include Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick.

“GM has supported the U.S. military for 100 years. From providing purpose-built vehicles in conflict situations to today’s support for veterans and returning military personnel, we continue to be their strong allies,” Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. Sales and Service stated in a recent news release. “This discount is just one part of our ongoing salute to those who serve our country.”

In addition to the military discount, Chevrolet also offers military service men and women employment and training opportunities. Chevrolet is also big on philanthropic acts that support military members and organizations that benefit them and their families. One instant of this was the recent sale of the first 2014 COPO Camaro through Barrett-Jackson that benefited the Achilles Team of Wounded Warriors.

The amount saved with the military discount depends on which vehicle you decide to purchase. USAA members can also receive an additional $750 incentive, bringing vehicles like the brand new Silverado to under $35,000.
