We admit it, we’re just like you – car junkies who spend entirely too much time surfing the interwebs looking for things to distract us from work. Only, it’s “productive” time – because this IS work for us.
The Web is a big place and there’s lots of content out there, so when we find something we like, we bring it to you, live and in living color. This car was picked up in semi-finished condition by Fletcher’s Customs in Coolidge, Georgia and turned into one hell of an autocrosser over the last couple of years. Owner, Chad Fletcher picked up this beauty and began the final transformation.
The car has been through a number of different configurations and has recently been put back on the road after an engine failure some time back.
It’s always nice to follow along with a build thread on one of your favorite forums – seeing what cool parts your compadres are able to procure and install on their hotrods is an integral part of the automotive enthusiast culture, and running through the build sheet on this bad boy shows a number of different configurations on the car.

The most recent update had the owner installing a killer Cortech-blown 406 cubic inch 9:1 small-block with a Lunati rotating asssembly and a pair of AFR 195 cylinder heads.
A T-56 six-speed transmission transfers the power, and the rest of the car is also stuffed full of parts to make the car handle better, like a Jake’s Rod Shop C6 front subframe and control arm setup to go with the BMR rear suspension pieces, including their torque arm.
A Strange 9-inch rearend rests under the back half of the car and carbon-fiber body pieces, like the hood and deckid, have been installed for the weight-loss effect. The whole works rolls on a set of 18″ Forgeline WC3R wheels and looks good doing it. Check out the build thread for lots more pics.
