A classic that only gets better with time, the Impala bestows plenty of respect as a former flagship model in the Chevrolet automobile line. Searching for a new home, check out this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, which is in fair condition and still has plenty of potential.
It looks like the car has been parked outside for quite some time, the Impala’s paint shows its wear, especially on the rear spoiler that has a considerable amount of oxidation. The steelies on all four corners make it look like a cop car.
According to the posting, the floors, trunk, and gas tank supports are rusted through, most likely from sitting exposed to the elements. It should also be noted that the car also needs an exhaust system, which is also rusted due to sitting out in the harsh weather conditions for which the state of Maine is known.
However, the catch to this find is that the owner also has a 1995 Chevy Caprice that can be utilized as a parts car that the owner claims to be rust free, thus giving you a replacement floor and trunk panels for the Impala. The LT1 350 cubic-inch V8 has 113,999 on the clock, and the black exterior, gray interior color scheme is just as Chevrolet delivered, albeit a little dirtier.
The interior looks like it needs some work, as the driver’s seat shows wear and tear, and there is also a small tear in the rear seat. To sweeten the deal, the owner also has the original 17-inch alloy wheels to go with the car, which need to be dusted off and thoroughly cleaned.
