The Outlaw Street Car Reunion IV (OSCR IV) is one of the major small-tire races in the country and the 2017 edition promises to be the best yet. Some of the biggest names in radial tire racing will be invading Memphis International Raceway March 22-26th to try their luck at becoming the new king of Memphis. For those who can’t make it to the event SpeedVideo.com will be broadcasting all the racing action LIVE right here!
The team at Southern Speed Promotions that puts on the OSCR IV has made sure this event is as racer friendly as possible, and that has helped in its huge growth. Since 2010 this event has produced some of the best small-tire racing and memorable moments like when Jason Michalak, Kyle Huttel and the Bad9er team reset the radial tire record with a pass known as “Threes in the freeze”.
For 2017 Southern Speed Promotions is bringing in some big names to make the event even better for the racers. Kurt Johnson will be doing the track prep, TJ Bailey will be the chief starter, and doing the announcing will be the dynamic duo of Brian Lohnes and Al Tucci. The racers will also be seeing a bigger payday as purses have been raised to over $100,000 across all the classes. This means the payouts will be larger for everyone, from top to bottom.
Headlining the on-track action will be the always-unpredictable Radial vs The World class. Fans can also expect to see great racing action in the Limited Drag Radial, X275, Ultra Street, and MX235 categories, too. Making its first appearance at the OSCR will also be the Pro Street Motorcycle class — these two-wheeled warriors will be making full 1/4-mile passes at over 200 mph. Sportsman racers will be well represented at the OSCR IV with the 6.00 and 7.00 Index categories.
The OSCR IV will have more than just killer on-track action for the fans; there will be other activities for them to check out at the event as well. On the spectator side there will be a giant customer car, truck, and bike show that runs all weekend, along with a vendor midway jam-packed with some of the best aftermarket companies in the racing industry.
The Outlaw Street Car Reunion IV will be a bonanza of horsepower that every drag racing fan needs to see. If you can’t be at this event in person, Speedvideo.com will be broadcasting it all live right here. The livestream of this event is brought to you by presenting sponsor Comp Cams, along with TCI, Edelbrock, Fueltech, Miller Welders, Mickey Thompson, SCAT Crankshafts, Driven Racing Oil, QA1, PRW Industries, and Neal Chance Racing Converters.
