If you’re looking for a rare classic muscle car that can really be enjoyed this summer, we may have found just what you’re looking for. Recently, a rare ‘72 Nova SS was listed in an eBay lot. The lot states that this Nova is one of only a few Super Sports that was equipped with a sky roof from the factory. The original build sheet comes with the car, confirming that the SS was indeed equipped with the sky roof from the factory rather than fitted with one after sold. This Nova is still up for bid if you want to own a rare piece of automotive history.
This SS is not a clone of the factory cars that were made with the sky roof- it is the real thing. According to the seller, only 3075 Novas were equipped with the black sky roof in 1972 and very few of those were Super Sports. This particular Nova is one of only about 100 Super Sports manufactured with a factory black sky roof.
In addition to the factory sky roof, this Nova sports a 350cui V8, four-speed manual transmission and 3:73 Posi rear end. The body is said to be straight and painted in factory correct Sequoia Green color. While the mileage of this car is not disclosed in the eBay lot information, the description does state that there is no known problems with the vehicle.
If you’re interested in bidding on this car, you have until May 27th. As of the early morning of May 25th, 15 bid had been made. Even the high bid of $12,600.99 had not yet met the reserve. We aren’t surprised- if this car is in as pristine of condition as the ad says and the pictures show, this very rare SS is worth well over $13,000. If sold, we hope that this car goes to someone who appreciates it for what it is and is not afraid to show it off. No matter where this car goes, it is sure to get well-deserved attention.
